What does it mean to earn your aPHR certification?

Our associate professional human resources (aPHR®) certification program solidifies your credibility as an HR professional. This certification, which is valid for 3 years after passing your exam, is offered through HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and is an industry-preferred certification. Throughout those 3 years, you must earn 45 recertification credits or you will have to retake the exam to remain certified. You do not need to have any HR experience as this is for HR professionals just starting out or non-HR professionals who manage people.

APHR Certification Outcomes

This certification ensures individuals can:

  • Understand all things related to the hiring process
  • Are able to assess the organization’s needs and are able to maintain and deliver learning and development programs
  • Understand the basics of rewards packages
  • Are able to balance the needs of the organization with the well-being of the individual employees
  • Are compliant with laws, regulations and policies and are able to mitigate risks
